Dependent Scholarship Recipients
Scholarship Details
The Foundation, supported by volunteers, employees of FirstLight Federal Credit Union, and generous donations from the community, is pleased to announce it will provide a total of $25,000. Scholarship recipients will be evaluated on a combination of extracurricular activities, GPA, and video submission. Personality and creativity are encouraged.

Selection Criteria
Scholarships:
Graduating Seniors Scholarship
- Be a graduate of the Class of 2023 residing in the El Paso, Fort Bliss, or Doña Ana Communities.
- Be an incoming college freshman at a two or four-year institution of higher learning or certified trade school.
- GPA of 2.5 and higher.
FirstLight Dependent Scholarship
- Must be a dependent of a full or part-time employee of FirstLight Federal Credit Union. Required to list on application.
- Be a current college student at a two or four-year institution of higher learning or certified trade school.
- GPA of 2.5 and higher.
The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to provide partial scholarship amounts to deserving applicants.

How to Prepare
- Obtain Guidance Counselor contact information.
- Be prepared to list the school (club, sport), work, and community activities.
- Instead of a written essay, you will upload one (1) video. Be sure you are in a well-lit room. Creativity and energy are encouraged.
- Note: only completed applications with video submission will be reviewed.
